We are excited to announce Psi Upsilon's newest colony at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana! When chartered they will become the 50th chapter of Psi Upsilon Fraternity.
The interest group approached Psi Upsilon and a number of other fraternities near the end of the Spring semester interested in starting a new fraternity at Purdue. After some discussion they chose to move forward with Psi Upsilon given our values, intimate size, proximity to Purdue and ability to support a new colony. We have plans to work with them over the summer to insure a productive fall semester. We will have more information in the future for alumni to get involved in the colony and help support them.
Purdue was founded in 1869 as the land grant institution of the state of Indiana founded to be a college of science, technology, and agriculture.
Today Purdue is a member of the Big Ten Conference, offering over 200 majors and 70 masters and doctoral programs. It has approximately 30,000 undergraduate students. In the 2016 US News and World report Purdue was ranked the 61st University in the United States, and 21st Public Institution.
